February 9, 2008 BURNABY, BC - The first prototype People's Hybrid Plug-in Conversion System (PiCS) was successfully showcased in a Cadillac SUV. The PiCS can be installed in almost any conventional vehicle, effectively turning it into a gasoline-electric hybrid. Preliminary tests using a Toyota Prius have shown that a 43% increase in fuel economy is possible over short commutes. Technical advisors Steve Szabo, Adrian Bolden, Earl Schmidt, Jeff Franchini, Steve Toplak, Gilles Brule and Orlando Vazquez were on hand for the demonstration.
